I bought a lsd from jdmland.com...I heard that i have to use the jdm 1st gear and final drive to make the lsd work...is this true? if it is, why is that?

 

i believe you on have to use the final drive if you have the LS tranny because of a difference in a part size

i believe that you can fit the itr lsd in the gsr tranny without any problems, but i would research more about it, there are many threads on here of how people did it, I just cant remember the definite answers

 

USDM ITR LSD with 4.400:1 FD p/n: 41200-P80-003
JDM ITR LSD with 4.785:1 FD p/n: 41200-P80-003
JDM ITR LSD with 4.400:1 FD p/n: 41200-P80-003

Type R LSD will bolt right into a GSR tranny
