Acura Integra All Integra Except ITR

What can i use to take off this Intake manifold gasket?!!

Default What can i use to take off this Intake manifold gasket?!!

im tryin to switch intake manifolds and i took off the one intake manifold motor i baught from HMo and it was the paper gasket or wahtever and pieces stuck to the head. what can i use to make this process of removing this stuff easier??!!!

Those are a pain in the ***!

I sprayed some WD-40 on it and used a razor blade.

it will take alot of time, but use a razor blade and make sure to scrape it super clean so you wont get any vacuum leaks

pray you dont chip the aluminum on the head, chip it too badly and youll get that vac leak

buy a can of "gasket remover" it comes in an aerosol can and works wonders. you would spray it on and let it soak in..what it does is soften it up really good to where you can scrape it off with a razor blade. you might have to repeat a couple times but it does make the task that much easier

they also have gasket scrapers in different sizes at like all auto parts stores....it's like a blade on a handle...works good too
