the windshields are exactly the same USDM vs JDM for the DC5. They are both either AS1 or AS2 dot approved. The only difference is a little window for the VIN tag on the dash in the USDM Glass.

I just tried a DC5 USDM Model WIndshield on my Type-r DC5, they are totally different.
Where the wiper goes, there is no notch in the USDM windshield. they are backwards.

picture of my wrecked type-s Right hand drive

now go check the windshield on a USDM DC5. the little notch in the bottom left on mine is on the bottom right on USDM cars.

And while Im at it, anyone want to buy a wrecked DC5 Type-S Rigth hand drive? Has motor in it, exhaust gauges no seats

jdm glass is bronze, usdm is clear. . . maybe not all dc5's came with bronze but most j-spec hondas are bronze . . but when i got my eg6 from japan with a smashed windshield, i used a aftermarket windshield for $100 and it worked . . BUT we cant compare a 92 civic to a 2002 integra . .

Well I found a few interesting things out with this stupid car.

For one, The Type-S and Type-R Sway bars are very different. I bought an upgrade for my type-R and it wouldnt clear the exhaust at all... The Type-R sway bar has a very large hole for the dual exhaust coming off the K20A motor.

The windshield I special ordered from Japan its costing me $1200 to get it here.

The red recaros someone stole out of my car are coming from a place someone from this board recommended to me... thank you whoever that was!

Now the sway bar END links are also different. I was hoping for an alternative but no go. Something about the length of the A-Arm is different, my type-R has Aluminum A-arms where my type-s has stamped steel apparently.

Everything is different! this car is so hard to find parts for its not even funny anymore.

Im putting it for sale- its on ebay right now in fact. Cant deal with this anymore.. I expected to be able to actually upgrade it with off the shelf Honda parts but little did I know! Skylines are easier to keep!
Its a shame, though, this was one of my favorite cars.

pretty much any part for a dc5 new/used can be ordered here:

http://www.icbmotorsport.com

items like windshields are SPECIAL order which means some waiting and alot more money is needed to be spent.
