how many cans of r134 do u need to fill up an ac system ? to recharge...

Just go get a kit from your local auto store...

These days they usually carry a pressure guage to tell you when they are charged...

yea. i just recently did it. and u should get a kit. they have em at autzone. its like 2 bottles and a gauge and tap kit. for like 40-60 not sure. and its sub-zero chill stuff. but yea i used those two cans and im freezin now.

2x12=24, so yes, 2 cans. If you overcharge it is will blow the refrigerant and oil out of the safety valve on the compressor.

if you put too much in the compressor will turn on and the car will almost die and then the compressor will turn off, so i found out
