Default 03-04 vs 05-06 CBR600rr plastic compatibility question?

a friend of mine trashed his 600rr (2005) and another friend is converting his 2003 600rr so hes willing to sell all of his street stuff for a good price to the other friend... if he buys ALL of the fairings will they bolt up?

thanks...

if not are any of the parts the same? the sides? the tail? the upper? the headlight?

thanks

Better off going to 600rr.net. I doubt they'll bolt on, otherwise people wouldn't worry about findng '03-'04 or '05-'06 plastics for their particular bike.

The mids, lowers, and tank will fit fine. The tail and black triangle pieces underneath won't fit unless you change the subframe. The upper will fit if you swap the air ducts. The air duct covers are interchangeable I believe.

the difference in fairings from an 600rr 03-04 and 05-06 is the front fairing and the rear cowl, the front will bolt on with no problem but you have to have everything thaT matches if is 03 front the windscreen, the air ducts, head lights, has to be 03, but if you want to put an 03 rear cowl on an 05 you need the entire sub frame with the font seat brake light and rear seat are the same....

What is posted above is true. The only parts that won't swap are the tail & subcovers (unless you have the subframe) and front fender

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by LLEO245 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">the difference in fairings from an 600rr 03-04 and 05-06 is the front fairing and the rear cowl, the front will bolt on with no problem but you have to have everything thaT matches if is 03 front the windscreen, the air ducts, head lights, has to be 03, but if you want to put an 03 rear cowl on an 05 you need the entire sub frame with the font seat brake light and rear seat are the same....</TD></TR></TABLE>

What he said is true..

03-06 middle fairings are interchangable, the lowers are also interchangable but if you have a California bike, the 49 state lowers wont fit right. You can out California lowers on a 49 state bike with no problems though.

If you want to put the 05-06 Upper fairing on an 03-04 bike, you need the ram air ducts and windscreen to go along with it. I'm pretty sure the headlights are the same.. the 05+ tail wont fit the 03-04 subframe, so you have to swap that out along with the side covers.

Good luck
