H22a Itbs in 99-00 civic.
I have an h22a in a 99-00 civic coupe. If anyone could help me I have a couple questions/ concerns about ITBs in my civic. First if you know about this swap you know this is NO room under the hood, and i was wondering first if I could fit ITBs. Secondly is there any advantage of doing an ITB kit over the hayabusa's. Thirdly how is it done and what parts do i need?
jesus man. I'm nice and all but damn, your asking for some of us that have researched this topic day and night for many sleepless nights in one post. It would help if you understood itb's, how they function. There is alot of info on them in the all motor forum and http://www.pgmfi.org
I've built a set of hayabusa's before and if i was smarter on a few things that i had done, they would have worked much better. If you have a stock motor, pretty much all the ones you can buy off the shelf will be too big. I think the smallest is the 50mm TWM's which is just too big. The size of the hayabusa's are absolutely perfect for a stock motor. Then you have to factor in runner length and angle into play. Then which velocity stacks you choose. Then when its all said and done, how are you going to tune them? are you going to do it yourself or are you going to fork out the dough for someone else to do it? If you are thinking ITB's are a bolt on, you need to look into getting something else.

misc books you may want to read to get a full understand of EFI is all about:
Electronic Fuel Injection by Ben Strader
something you should look into is measuring the distance from the intake ports to the firewall to give you an idea of how much room you have.
building your own set is not easy.
