D16Y8 intake manifold looks like Z6 IM??!
Okay now I'm pretty confused. I'm seeing listings for what appears to be a Z6 IM but the sellers are insisting they're Y8 manifolds. I already have 2 Z6 manifolds but I'm trying to get a Y8. The Z6 have a flat spot on top with lines in it. The Y8 manifolds that I have seen look like a buff guys arm. They're rounded and fat. And this other guy is claiming the Y5 manifold is the same as the Y8, which I know to be untrue but I would like confirmed.

Okay, this is a D16Y8 manifold, right?

Not this:

Just have to ask now because I've seen three listings with Z6 manifolds claiming they were Y8s. I bought a Y8 head and it has a Z6 manifold in it. And in another thread, someone is tellling me that 96-00 EXs didn't come with Y8s??! Am I going crazy?

the Y8 has the big fat plenum.... the other d series are the skinnier plenums... and yes, all civic ex's model year 96 to 00 had the y8 in them. just be sure you get the right one for your tranny.... i.e. manual intake for manual tranny or a/t manifold for a/t....
Cool thanks. Okay, what's the difference between the automatic and manual intake manifolds? I thought only the throttle bodies were different.
Throttle bodies and intake manifolds are different between manual and auto. Auto has 3-wire iacv under the throttle body. Manual has 2-wire iacv on the back of the manifold.
