if 4th and 5th gens have the same tire sizes, then you can use a 205/45-17 size tire, or if you want to you can use a 215/40-17. i use the wider tire size on my lowered 5th gen with no problems.

I am runnin a 205/40 R17 on my Prime rims. No problems at all, ever. I wouldn't mind going a little wider though

hmm so i could do a wider 215/40 or a stock width 205/45. the 45 would be a little more comfortable, right? perhaps a little safer too.

is it nerve racking driving with a 215/40-17? the wider stance would be nice, but is that sidewall a little too small to protect a wheel from a pothole?
also, the 205/45 is about .4" greater in total diameter.. is that bad for gearing or the speedometer?
