B series motors idle around 950-1200 fro fast idle, then it should drop to around 700 rpm +/- 50rpm anyways, if you messed with the throttle and the TPS at all, check that out, to me, it sounds like the IACV is not doing its job of opening up, a common mistake is messing the TPS and MAP connectors around, make sure that those are right before doing anything else, or else that problem will result, if you changed IM or TB make sure your idle passage is not blocked off, which does happen from time to time due to poorly made manifolds.

thanks for the idea the motor only has about 25 miles on it. i just got it built. pulls hard through the rpm but has such a low idle it stalls almost everytime. i checked out what you said but everything is basically brand new. the throttle body and all the sensors are off a type-r
