Default Installed Walbro 255 fuel pressure too high

Hey I just installed a walbro 255 fuel pump in my 95 del sol VTEC that comes stock with a b16a3. Needless to say my pressure went from around 32 to about 42 and I with my fuel pressure regulator backed all the way out I cant get the pressure any lower at idle. The car will barely run its so rich and wants to stall out. I heard of some people drilling out the return line? Is this a good idea? Anyone else with this problem?

You must have purchased the 255lph HP version. Get yourself an adjustible fpr or get the standard 255lph.

I have an adjustable B&M Fuel pressure regulator as well as a Fuel pressure guage, the fuel pressure regulator is backed off all the way.

because the stock return port is too small. i had exact same problem.. u have to drill a 1/16" hole in the return part of the stock regulator bottom and it will lower it for u.. i think that site theoldone or somethin has how to do it exactly..
