Default alarm question

My roommate has an '03 civic with the OEM alarm. The battery for her alarm died so she couldn't disarm her car. Is there a way to bypass the alarm/kill switch so she can still start the car the next time this happens? I know with my Viper alarm on the S2k, i installed a button that would allow me to still start the car. Thanks for the help.

It's this true for an OEM honda alarm and not an aftermarket one?

Talk to your local Honda Dealership. I don't think there's a straight kill switch.

if it's a factory alarm, alls you need to do is use the key. the alarm disarms when you use the key in the drivers door to unlock the car. if this doesnt work, you DONT have an oem alarm and therefore need to find the valet button to temporarily disarm the alarm.

Thanks. That's what i figured. I know it's an OEM alarm because I saw her remote. I'm thinking she didn't even try to open and start her car with just the key like I told her to because she was worried it would go off. She's hard headed like that. I'll check when i get home. Thanks for all the input guys!
