Weld Wheel seeks bankruptcy, plans to sell assets
they are not going out of business
information i got straight from weld - they filed chapter 11 for "recapitalization" - should be running even better in the near future, more money = more inventory = quicker ship times - will be around for a long time

Sounds as though American Racing has an offer on the table. The buyout should improve the delivery time.

yeah but you get what you paid for with the welds. If I would have known better I would have saved up a little more instead of stick with my bogarts.

I'm in the wheel industry here in Kansas City and from what I have heard is that American Racing is buying it for 17 million. This is not the only time Greg Weld filed for bankruptcy.
He use to have this retail place here in town which was bad ***. It was state of the art stuff. Nice as hell! What was funny though is that he would sell all of his wheels more expensive than if you would buy them from JEGs or SUMMIT. AND he made all of his wheels right next door!
Weld stuff is soooooooooo overrated.
