Claybar
check out the detailing thread. it is stickied at the top of this forum.
but i just used a claybar for the first time a couple of months ago. appearance-wise, i did not notice too much of a difference. however, it made the paint a whole heck of a lot smoother, and gave me a better surface to clean the paint/wax/seal.
i bought the meguiar's kit, however, i do not use the supplied quick mist detailer as a lube. this is how i claybar MY car:
-wash car like normal
-wash car again, except when the soap is on the panel, clay bar that panel and use the soap and water as a lube. (i find this way a lot easier than using the detailer). be sure to wash/clay one panel at a time.

Wow. That look's phenomenal, thank's for the help guy's.
From what I understand;
1. Clean / rinse
2. Clean + use soap and water as a lubricant (while doing 1 panel at a time)
What would be the outcome of leaving the product on multiple panel's, I've read into how the product works etc. but I'm just trying to gain a better understanding before I actaully use it!
Now I'm IFTP's!
Thanks

clayed the front end of the GS last night. damn this car is a boat. i recommend after claying and before putting wax to put a coat or two of Sealer/Glaze[i use mothers]. that way when the paint isnt left only protected by wax, plus the sealer adds even more shine and hides blemishes
I claybar'd my car just last weekend, finished up with a coat of sealer than a coat of wax. I used Mother's claybar and sealer, then a coat of Meguiars Gold wax.
for a super clean finish. The claybar took off a nasty little door ding (black in color) on my car.

i use meguiars clay kit...works great, if u have tiny scratches or lil blemishes it lesson the appearence a bit. i've also been using to to get some hardcore tree sap off my car, its difficult but slowly its coming off.
just make sure u use plenty of the detailing spary to lubricate the clay and paint.

for me i:
1) wash/rinse/dry
2) wash/rinse/(no dry)
3) clay
4) wash/rinse/dry
5) wax.
i would probably clay the car two to three times a year.
two = normal
three = because too dirty

The siplest way, because im a lazy ****
-wash/rinse car[dont half-*** the wash]
-leave it wet and start claying
-keep the car wet[i only use water as a lubricant. no spray/soap]
-clay one panel at a time, keep the rest of the car wet
-final rinse/ dry throughly
-two coats of sealer/glaze
-two coats of wax
