My air conditioner is broke!!! What is some things I can do?>
I checked the relays by the radiator which looks like it controls the compressor and the two fans. One of two of the relays are bad, so I switch the two of them by the radiator to see if the compressor would kick on, but nothing happened.
It doesn't look like the compressor is engaging, or sound like it for that matter. Is there only one wire going to the compressor? There is a small red wire that runs to it from the one relay. I guess it is grounded by the block? It's getting warm/hot around here and this sucks!
How can I diagnose this promblem myself and what are some things I can look into to find out if its the compressor that is broke, or a connection, or anything else?
Please help!!

Ummmm, No. I don't care about speed and weight reduction, just comfort as I use this car to drive back and forth to work.

Nope, dont car about going fast in me accord. Just being comfortable. Going fast is what the T/A is for.
so does anyone have a idea as to what to look into? Or am I stuck bringing this to a shop and gettin ripped off?

Hmmm....I dunno what it could be. I suggust taking it to a shop, but i understand how DIYing it would be better. Sometimes you just gotta take the blow.....BTW, can I see your WS6? Have the accord in the pic too so it makes it on-topic for this forum...
I had the same problem; it was low on freon level due to a leak. Compressor doesnt turn once the freon gets below a certain level like said above.
that means u have a leak.. im having the same problem.. all u have to do is get a leak detector.. and a red dye will come out.. once u know where it is coming from get a friend who REALLY know what they are doing not those i know it all but dunno how to do it.. have them look at it.. normally its jsut an O ring or a spring .. something simple.. hope that helps..later

Okay I diagnosed a few things.
Relay switch on one of the fans is bad, I gotta find one someplace. You know they want $38 for a cheap azz little switch!?!?! And you can't find them anywhere, they have to be ordered.
The compressor is grounded obviously, and there is power going to it when I checked the red lead wire with a voltimeter. There is pressure in the cooling lines, how much I do not know. This I will have to bring to a shop I guess and have them check it out to see if any freon needs to be added.
Anyone know which coolant is used, ie freon. Supposedly there is new and older stuff used.

Anyone know what pressure the system should be at?
If you dont know what you're doing my god dont charge it yourself. That system is under pressure and you can really mess it up.
It is not a pressure measurement. It is how many pounds of refrigerant the system requires ( about 1.5lbs for a '94 Accord) which can be found in the service manual or by calling the dealership.Make sure you depressurize the system before filling. And don't forget the oil.Your best bet though is to just pay to have it recharged. When a pro does it they vaccuum the system down which allows the refrig. to flow in better assuring a full charge and also removes any moisture that may be in the lines. Also you will know if it has any leaks if it does not hold a vaccuum. Chances are you won't have any problems. But with moisture in the lines ,when you add the refrigerant ,it will freeze the moisture causing " cold spots" which may actually clog the lines.Good luck!
BTW Honda switched to R134a in 1994
93 and older models have R12
