help a newbie...engine turns, car wont start 94 civic
Car was running fine. Then one day, I decided to clean the battery posts, change the spark plugs, drain the oil, change the air filter and drain the coolant. After all this was done(same day), the engine still ran, but the motor was slow to turn. I drove it for a block or two, and it was fine. The next day I started the car, and the same scenario. Engine turns slowly, but the car started. I thought that maybe one of the plugs were shot. So I pulled the first spark plug cable (while the motor was running), and you could hear the differece. I put it back, and pulled the next. The same result. As I pulled the third, the engine died immediately. I put it back, then tried to start the car. It did not start anymore. Turned slowly, but did not start. Went to Autozone to get the battery checked out, and was told it was a bad battery. Purchased a new one, slapped it on the car, and tried it again. Engines turns quicker, but car still wont start. Checked the fuses in the engine bay, and they are fine. Tried to advance, and retard the distributor hoping that I might get a different result, but nada. The distributor is only about 2 yrs old(from autozone refurb).

Any help will be really, really, really appreciated.
Where I might've messed up...
I pulled the distributor out(It looks like there are only two positions possible for the darn thing).
Thanks in advance to those who are willing to help!!!
