Default Exhaust Questions

I know there's countless threads about which exhaust is better. But I wanted to see everyone's opinions on which catback exhaust system to buy. I've got a 93 VTEC Prelude with an H22. I've seen the RSR Exmag and the Apexi WS2 talked about a lot, but everything I've read says that they're really quiet. I'm not looking for a really loud exhaust, but one that I can hear when accelerating. And from what I've read, you can't really hear the RSR or the WS2 until the rpms get high. I've heard that the Greddy Evo2 is pretty good, a little on louder side, but not "rice." Any opinions are welcomed. Thanks

Hartwell, GA? i hope that's a popular city 'cause cops are dicks out in the boonies. i'd say you should get an RS*R 'cause it looks stock and sounds like a beast when you need it to.

Haha ya Hartwell is fairly small, but cops aren't really that bad about exhaust, plus i'm not going to be red linning it in town. Anyways, isn't the RS*R on "hold" until they make them in stainless steel?? Also, if anyone has a sound clip of the Apexi WS2 and the RS*R I'd really appreciate it.

hmm. I was just in hartwell GA the other day, picking up a cargo trailer.
anyways, yes the RS*R is still on hold as far as I know. If you want to wait, it will be worth it but if you want an exhaust now get ws

I would go with the tanabe SMH. A little louder then WSII or RSR but deffinatly quieter then EVO. Not ricy sounding either

I was just at the Tanabe website looking at the SMH (which is a great looking exhaust), but it says it's for non VTEC Preludes only?

I like the WS exhaust. Very quiet and nice tone when you are at higher RPMs.

i've got a skunk2 exhaust and i love it. it's not as quiet as the ws but it sounds really good. it's got a nice deep tone but can get loud at high rpm.

Defo agree on the Skunk2. Really deep at low revs, but sounds mental throughout the VTEC range. If you drive at 70 - 80 it is fairly quiet, but screams with WOT.

Just fitted Skunk2's 68mm TB and this really adds volume to the system.
