Default custom shift light?

i want to use my stock rpm tack in my civic and i want to put a shift light custom mounted into a double gauge pod for the pillar some where but i was wondering if there is a way i can get the light to flash off of the stock rpm tack instead or have to get a after market rpm tack.

they sell just shift lights for use with your stock tach....i'm sure you could custom rig it into a pillar pod if you really wanted to

Engine revs to 9000rpm, tach stops at 8000rpm. Drag racers use it to focus on the shifting and wait for the blinding light.

Also, some people like to think that it's a sign from god, a bright light, and he is sayign 'SHIFT YO!'.

I have the CEL come on at about 7500, its really helpful because my tach is off. So it shows about 8000(most my tach will show)but im only at about 7500.

you can get a "rpm activated switch". theyre popular with NOS kits. MSD sells a line of them. auto meter does too i think. summit has their own kit.

i had thought of using the turn signal lights in the stock cluster as a shift light. it wouldnt be hard to wire up. never bothered tho.
