dude you dont need mounts for a d-series but if you want a improvement from the ones you got if you hang tight explicitspeed is making some for us d-series fanatics. just chill and use the ones you have. if interested i recommend commenting in this link.

we might start a group buy as soon as we get the word

also if the reason your asking this question is because you dont have any? then hit up you local junk yard should come up with some cheap.

first off is a d16a6,d16z6,d16y8 cuz depending on what motor it is there some veriables you might be faced with other than mounts and ecu.

anyway if its a d16a6 then you need a pm6 look in our classifieds or junk yard also. ebay has some pretty decent prices on some also.

the conversion is from a d16a6 to a d16y8 does that still call for the pm6?

nope if you doing a d16y8 complete swap you need to convert to obd2 you need a obd 2 sohc vtec distributor, distributor jumper, ecu jumper, you need your wiring harness converted to obd2, obd 2 ecu its a p2p i think.

i stand corrected though also if you search this question has been asked many times theres a red serach tab up top. search and you'll find the answer also.

this is just an idea you can also do a vtec head swap on your d16a6 with your y8 head. might be easier than taking the whole motor out. but if your motor is fried then proceed to swap in the new longblock oh yeah you can also keep your si tranny if you have one.

also if you have never done any of this before cuz it sounds like you havent get a helms manual from both cars.

take the dizzy off the crx si and put it on the d16y8..stay obd0 use the pm6 and look at this http://xenocron.com/te.php?page=TEvtec This is the cheap way,,but still works great

if you got the money then go ahead convert to obd1 and get a p28..might be smart to chip it with d16y8 maps though

check it the only benefit of going sohc vtec is because of the more tuning capabilities going obd1 or 2 and the rise in compression equals more horsepower.
but the horsepower you get out of a mini swap(vtec head swap) is not alot. believe me i have a sohc zc non vtec. and i kill mini me's alot over rated i think. but if you got a good working d16a6 thats in good condition sell that block and put money towards the d16a6. what do you currently have on your engine.

if you stay non vtec turboedit has your tuning needs for the pm6

dude invest in a header, exhaust, and intake it will keep you more happier sell the longblock. serious i run a sohc zc (jdm d16a6) with i/h/e and soon an upgraded clutch and im lowered and i can kill n/a z6's and y8's. **** my homie has a sohc zc also with i/h/e fpr, upgraded clutch and he keeps up with some b16's and runs a 15.5. and you can also piece a turbo set-up also for cheap. you just got to figure out what your horsepower goals are. and what you want out of your car.

theres someone in the sponsored threads thats selling headers for 100 shipped those are good all though there not name brand but they get the job done for what you need. and exhaust i just got done with my set-up get yourself a custom exhaust set-up of a 2.25 piping a resonator and a magnaflow muffler, and a nice tip looks sweet if done right i paid like 250 for the whole set-up welded up.

why hasport, there are so many other places now that offer mount kits and for a cheaper price. Also hasports are known for vibration problems and they don't fit as well and exsample avid motor mounts.

youll be alright just do your regular oil changes and your tune ups and your cool. i/h/e are not that drastic on your ride. but if you wanna be on the safe side take it somewhere so they can do a compression test to see where you at but i have like maybe 20,000 miles less that you and my **** is running strong.

everyone knows about the vibration,,but what are you talking about with fitting good? they are some of the best fitting mounts,,not to mention they have the BEST customer service of every mount company. if a mount breaks they send 1 out to you free..**** you dont even have to have a receipt....Who else does that? no one.....Avid mounts dont even compare to hasport,,or az race machine,,street imports,,even ebay steel welded mounts fit better
