Default 99 EM1 Question Hesitation or stutter at high RPM

I was just wondering if anyone new why my car would have a stutter or hesitation from 5500 TO redline you can feel the car hesitate alittle bit or stutter. I changed Vtec gasket recently but had the problem prior to that. I also have plenty of oil in it also did a valve adjustment and it didn't clear up also took my MSD out and changed plugs and wires and still there is a stutter to it. no check engine lights or anything like that it just feels like it is hesitating. I ran some sea foam through it and it doesn't seem to hesitate quite as badly but you can still feel it. Thanks for the help.

did you check the timing, fuel pressure and maybe the injectors???

when my car had hesitation it was the timing.

I just had the exact same problem on my 2000 Si, and it was due to an inline fuel pump not functioning correctly. Check the fuel system.

I checked fuel system and it has good pressure and doesn't take long to presurize. Also I have MSD ignition and it was taken out of the loop and still have the same problem. Fuel filter and pump are almost brand new. I think I will check to make sure the cat isn't clogged or something. Also my timing is perfect no problem there as far as timing goes. I am just running out of ideas as to what to check will try switching out the O2 Sensors and also I did get a IACV failure CEL. Cleaned it and reset computer and it is still giving me problems. Any help would be apreciated.

I am not really sure how to check the injectors. I did do a injector wire tuck but I am uncertain as to how that would have affected anything. I used the same gauge wire and also I did soder and shrink wrap everything and the wires were not extended.

Primary o2 sensor. My car did the same thing, never through a CEL. Changed the o2, and everything worked fine.

Is there a way of cleaning a 02 sensor.

Hey do you think that a vacuum leak will cause that hesitation at high RPMs?

Probably not. If it was, your idle would be all over the place.

Well I found a Vacuum leak in one of the stoppers on my AEBS Intake manifold. I was not really a vacuum leak as much as the thing blocking the open vaccum ports fell the hell off and the others were split and cracked. My idle is much better and very very smooth and it doesn't hesitate at higher RPMS. Thanks everyone for your help. I apreciate it.
