it usually happens during production not EVERY carbon fiber hood is perfect

I thought it was a fiberglass skeleton and carbon fiber over that. Thats how fiber images hoods are. When you pop the hood you can see the sunlight through the weaving. I should have been more specific. Cheap hoods like mine have the fiberglass skeleton and a layer of giberglass then carbon fiber on top?
I dont know I could be wrong but anyways, could you fill the dents in with resin? then sand them till they are smooth? i just want to paint the hood the same color as my car

nope, fiberimages have a fiberglass skeleton and a fiberglass skin with a layer of carbon fiber over that. This is the industry standard. Carbon fiber hoods are only 10% carbon and the rest is fiberglass and resin. a lot of carbon fiber hoods coming out now are NOT CARBON FIBER, but dyed fiberglass and sold as carbon fiber. You can see through the weaving because they did not paint the underneath like ViS and Seibon does. If you are going to paint just smooth them with bondo and paint.

Paint a carbon fiber hood the same color as your car?? goodluck hopefully your painter is good, CF stretch's and can cause bubbles and look nasty
it is not the carbon fiber that does that. The carbon is under the surface not on top. Alot of carbon hoods use gel coat. The same thing that is on the surface of most body kits. You just sand it down like normal and make sure to use a poly primer. If it is a clear coat surface then you can use normal primers and such
i called them and told them it happened like 4 months after i got it and they are like send us pictures and we can send u a new one. and its kind of hard to send pictures of a hood that has dents in it. i had a shitty camera
