Default idle hates me.

ok guys i know i could go search for this but after 6 pages i just quit. ok my ide started surgeing when i was stoped at a light and now it does this every time. it goes from about 900rpms where it normaly sits, to 1800-2000rpm then back down then revs up again.. someone tryed to race me at a light because of this if you guys could eather point me to the right post or at the sensor or what ever is doing this. picture or location sumthing. thanks again guys.

usually when this happens its a vacuum leak, check or replace your hoses.

all my hoses and cooling lines and wires are all new. i had a vacume leak befor and your idel stays high, it didnt surge like it is now. up then down, up then down, up then down.

Make sure the coolant is bleed well. I have heard that air in the coolant lines can cause problems like yours.

unplug your throttle position sensor while it idles bad. if it goes away you need a new tps. Ive also heard about air in the coolant.

clean your throttle cable, easy way to check if its sticking is when it happens pull back on the pedal and see if it goes back to normal idle

agreed, good chance its a vacuum line...its happened to me the same way several times...check all the vacuum connetions coming from the back of the intake manifold
