Thinking about doing the manual swap, does any tranny from the hseries work? where did you guys get yoru items from, the dealer? ie engine mount, tranny mount, master and slave cylinders... lastly, how rare are these manual ecus for the 97 and up preludes?

 

that project is not an easy one, did one once. the person i did it for got most of the items he needed from a salvage yard, except the tranny he bought that from honda.
you will need a

flywheel
manual tranny mount
ecu
clutch lines
clutch master cylinder
clutch-brake pedal
shifter
shift linkage
you can get by with your gauges but best to change them
axles
if i remember right the intermediate shaft too

those things you can get from a salvage yard

clutch
axles
slave cylinder
and of coarse tranny i would get new

if i left anything out please add to it

 

You can use any H-series tranny, although probably not one from an SH. However, try not to mess up your gear ratios too much. Here's a helpful chart to guide you in your purchase.
