Default I thought it would never happen to me... car stolen last night..

Yep.. can't ******* believe it.. woke up to goto work about an hour ago.. walked outside, and its gone. i called the police hoping it was towed.. in fact i was almost positive it was towed because i have bad tags and the HOA is not down for that.. but it wasnt, waiting on the police to come file a police report, whatever ******* good that will do..

never had a car stolen before, its pretty rediculous they singled out my car out of any other cars on the street, i guess its easier to steal then all the bmw's and whatnot

the car is all rusted, bad paint job, completely stock on the outside.. makes me wonder why it was singled out.. its definately not one of the crx's i would want to steal if i were a theif.

it has a pretty fucked up not-running-well b16, not that it matters.. thats my only transportation and i have liability insurance that does not cover theft.

i just realized a kid i used to call my friend has my spare key, i lost it over his house months ago and i havnt talked to him in a while.. should i confront him about it , even though he wont confess even if he did, should i let the police handle it? what should I do?
I told the officer that all my spare keys were accounted for when i filed the report.. i totally forgot about it..

Tell the police, then talk to him and kindly say that the police know as well, just as a matter of conversation. See what happens, it couldnt hurt.
But I would definately do both. Just because.

Then get a clutch lock and an alarm, hide your hood cable release, put on several other various kill switch/fuel cutoffs, and get a gun when you get your next rex, if you do.

90$ a month is alot cheaper then paying for an accident out of pocket.. or a driving w/o insurance charge.
dont have a choice as far as tags go, i can't get my car passed inspections for the last 6 months

Its not all just Mormans here any more. Half of ******* Mexico is here as well.
Its also one of the citys with the highest ratio of meth users in the nation.

the cop acted all confident that it would be found, what a dickface.

the thought actually went through my mind, that maybe my car is on one of those shows like overhaulin , in the early stages of denial. i think its a funny thought now but when i wake up sober itll all kick me in the grill

Well, I found my car about 3 days ago.. very weird .. I found it less then a quarter mile from my house, in my neighborhood.. nothing taken out of the car, no damage to the ignition, and I was not under the influence of anything when I came home the night it was stolen, and forgot where I parked it like the police were implying that I did.

all the doors were locked and it was parked in gear w/out the ebrake on
which is the exact opposite of how I left it.. doors unlocked, never park in gear always with the ebrake on..
******* weird.
edit: forgot to mentionj the only damage done was about a half tank of gas missing.

2nd gear seems to be grinding much worse then before, but oh well.. that was going to happen anyway.
needless to say my ecu is in my house at all times when im not driving it.. someone has a key that fits my car FTL.

I figured they put it back, but didnt have the ***** to put it back where they found it.. so they can take it again.

Thats how we used to do it.

Your story sounds oh to familiar man, when mine was stolen and wrecked, I finally get clearance from the cops to pick it up from the impound and when I get there........no peeled column?
Now for someone to have taken my keys and gone wrecked it, come back and replace my keys, without waking me, is ridiculous.

Me n my buddies do some lock picking, and it's cake to get inside ann older Honda, usally only takes 2 key pressings to open ALL old hondas....but I've never tried picking my ignition for fear I'd expletive up the tumblers.......

If it's possible, all a theif needs to do is go pick up a $5 lock pick set and the Honda world is theirs........
