Default Once CRX headrest is removed, how do I get the plastic pieces below off?

Searched, but everything is for people who can't figure out how to remove the clip to get the headrest off...I got that done, now I just need to remove the black plastic square pieces with the holes in them that the headrest poles slide into. I'm reupholstering some seats so I need to get this off to cleanly remove and replace the covers.

It's probably simple and either pulls or screws out, but I tried and don't want to apply too much force doing the wrong thing and snap the stupid things off. Anybody done this before?

I did mine a while ago but if I remember correctly there is a screw under the tab that you push to release the headrest, I had to pry that out first. Then you had to pry it up because its in there with two barbed penises. good luck

On a CRX there's no tab you push to release the headrest, you have to pull out clips just like the ones that hold your window crank on.

The DX one is removable,
The Si one has the hidden clips..

For the plastic piece,I believe after the headrest is removed,
You have to stick your hand up through the back and squeeze
the bottom of the piece together and then it will pull out..

PS>Let me look,I may have a pic somewhere..

In this pic,you can make out where the tabs used to be..oops..

The tabs can only be squeezed after the headrest is removed..
Be careful, the metal inside there will skin you alive...

88DXCRX: That was exactly what I needed, it worked like a charm...and the metal in there DID almost tear my hand to shreds, haha

Thanks for the help, now I can finish the job
