Default Does Anybody have a Template for an Autopower cage into the rear plastics ??

just got my autpower 4pt rollbar back from the powdercoaters, i want to put the rear plastics in so it looks cleaner then just the carpet with the itr rear mat..

ive seen pictures of peoples cages and the way they trimmed them out.. i looked all on h-t and had no luck finding anything.

question is.. does anyone havea template or know of the best way to figure were to cut the hole into the rear plastics for the cage to fit cleanly??
thanks in advance

They go through where the speakers are, if you remove the speakers and cover then no trimming is required. If you are talking about trimming the speaker covers then I have no idea.

they go thru the rear speaker holes yes...just like the pic above. however, it has been mentioned before that the diameter of the "rollbar" piping is bigger than the diameter of the "rollcage", both from AP. so with that info, trimming the panel is usually necessary to achieve a CLEAN look for the rollbar. i know had to trim mine to make it fit perfect... but trimming was not necessary for my friend's SMALLER diameter rollCAGE.

i even trimmed the speaker covers for an ULTRA clean and oem look. came out perfect!

thanks for the info, didn't know the diameter was different. The angle is the same on the bar and cage?

thats how mine looked when the rear plastic was in. no trimming required... I guess it did bend the plastic a little though but it was not an issue for me and did not damage the plastic. Hope that helps

when i initially installed mine, it looked exactly like the pic above where you could see the plastic stressing under the pressure of the bar. when i timmed the inner section were it touches the bar, it helped the situation as i didnt want to risk the possibilty of cracking the rear panel over time.

i'll try and take some pics of mine...im pretty happy with the final result along with the trimmed speaker covers. my friend whos a talented detailer trimmed the speaker covers for me because he insisted it would look sweeter without the gaping holes and he was right.
