wash it first, then clean with "tsp" mixed with hot water, with a red scotchbrite. then go over it again with a red scotchbrite and "scuff stuff", rinse clean. once dry spray a light coat of "bull dog" plastic primer. then spray with a few good coats of eurethane primer with a flex agent mixed in. then spay base and/or clear of your choice. you can get all this stuff at an auto paint store. hope this helps. oh and if you just want them black, clean them as stated or best you can , and just spray em with black bumper paint.

Use Black Again You can find it at R&S Strauss. I believe Mothers has a liquid to make faded bumper mouldings black again also.

True story....also if you decide to paint afterall go with Satin black ..it's a cross betwen flat and gloss

I sanded mine a little and used a spray gun to spray it with some left over paint from my bumper, and put a little bit of clear coat, came out great.
