Poor antenna reception after obd2 to obd1 conversion and ostrich
I just recently began using an obd2 to obd1 conversion harness with p28 and a moates ostrich. With this setup my radio has become very staticy. Reception only gets poor with the car started. I switched back to my obd2 ecu just to make sure it was the ecu that was causing the problem.
What can I do to help increase my radio reception with the obd1 + ostrich setup?

You will need a multimeter to check ant., set meter to continuity check the continuity between the mast pin, [thin tip of ant. plug] and the ant. mast, should show full continuity, then check continuity between the tip and the larger barrel of the ant. plug, there should be no continuity, now check the continuity between the barrel and chassis ground, there should be full continuity, and finally check the continuity between the pin and chassis ground, there should be none.
