so i ordered one of these short shifters for my 02' type-s.

and im away in NC working for my uncle for some mod money.

and it arrived in VA at my home and my dad figured it was for him and opened it up and said "it looks like a piece of plastic garbage and it appears to be for an automatic". now is there even a short shifter kit for the base model or is my father a certified moron?

 

well....they dont make a kit for an auto..hahaa...so...ill leave it up to you.

 

yup, because u do a lot of shifting in a ******* automatic, but for some reason, it seems as if the apple dosent fall far from the tree because you took the time to post about this ****.

 

hey you dont have to be a ******* ******* about it ace, i know for a fact you "dont do a lot of shifting" with an automatic ,but you have to remember the key of this shifter kit is it reduces shifter height by a good amount. i dont know if some people with the base model want a lower shifter even if it is auto.

actually the key of any "short" shifter is not to lower the height of the shifter, but to shorten the distance of the throw.

ok i checked the part out and its fine everyone, thank you for the lovely antics of my father, and just for reference i know the key is to reduce the throw of the shift but i also read that this kit reduces shifter height by one whole inch on the rsx.

when parents get old they make stupid and careless remarks.
