Damn car Its been to two shops and they still dont know whats wrong with it. A little background info.. Driving home from work everything is goin fine they engine light comes. 2 seconds later motor just stops still have power and engine turnsover but doesnt start. Have it taken to a crappy shop they say ignition replace that. Still doesnt work have it sent to JOTECH (they must know) they replace ecu and distibutor still doesnt work. What the hell its been 3 weeks i/m thinkin they missed something maybe ignitor??? Dont know please help any ideas are helpful

 

lots of things that could be wrong. I dunno about replacing a distributor and ecu without testing.. I would go get a multi-meter and test the distributor components if you changed out with a used one. It could also be something like a failed TPS or MAP sensor. check those to also.

 

could be a relay that supplies the power to the ecu. i believe thats what happened on my car. the mechanic said he replaced the distributor, but i could tell it was the original one. many volkswagens have had this relay go out.

thanks a lot hashimoto that was exactly it, but for some reason my subs dont kick as hard and the previous shop didnt connect my ignition coil. My friend is going to help figure out the sub thing. But thanks a lot i really appreciate it
