Did y'all brace your turbos?
Did any of y'all brace your turbos, if so could you post a pic. My last setup wasnt braced, and I think that was the cause of the premature death of my manifold.
we dont brace our 42R. and my street car isnt braced...i beat the **** out of it everyday too. so it goes through some heat cycles....
maybe you just bought a junk manifold ? and if not, you are stupid for not bracing the turbo with a nice thin wall mani.....

My guess too.
I do not brace mine either, I haven't had a need to.

I really appreciate it, but I cannot find my camera, but the crack is 3/4 away around the turbo flange, and about 1/2 the way around on 2 of the exhaust flange welds. I showed it to a friend and he said that it looks like it was just welded with a wire welder, not tig welded, So could be a cheap-o manifold. Thanks all. Hopefully I can find my camera.

what are we suppose to use then?? PVC pipe?? but anyway he prob had an ebay monifold

A properly designed turbo manifold will not require the turbo or manifold to be braced. Due to thermal expansion you need to use the same materials IF you want to brace your manifold. If not one material will expand faster than the other and cause stress points which will lead to failure.
