I tried searching and couldn't find anything on this particular problem, if I missed something I apologize.

Problem:

Whenever I turn on the AC or heat the fan whirs for a second, like it is trying to start, then stops dead with not a sound. Anyone give me some clues as tow hat I should at for this?

PS: to those that helped with my sunroof issue, I cleaned the contacts and it's working great now, thanks!

 

It is either the fan speed switch or the fan. Try delivering power straight to the fan and see it works.
