Default Running a cone filter with stock intake piping

I tried to search for some information on this and also some pictures. I was probably searching the wrong terms but is this ok? And what is the inlet diameter of the stock piping?

Nothing wrong with running a cone filter on the stock pipe. All you need is a coffee can, a can opener (to open up the other end), some hose clamps, and the obvious filter

What's the coffee can for?

nvm...I actually thought about it. I was going to try to use a hose clamp to clamp the filter to the piping itself.

The piping is too squishy to get it to clamp tight enough, hence the coffee can

Where can i find a nice extension that extends from the stock tubing about 4-5 inches and makes a 45 angle?

Muffler shop can make you one for like $15. I believe it's 3" pipe. Just curious, but why not just buy a real SRI?
