i have for sale a 97 integra 4dr with a jdm h22a motor (prelude). the chassis has approximately 150,000 miles and the motor has around 45,000 miles on it. It is salvage title. No ac/ps. I have the parts for it and will be included if requested.

Do you know why it can't pass smog?

well, when i went to the smog place, they told me because it is a jdm motor, there computer wont connect to the ecu, and i am also guessing that becase the cat converter is gutted. i advice to only think about purchasing the car only if you got a "hook" up for a smog test.

 

what year is the engine?

I BAR'ed my CRX, and I am almost certain that you could too with just a couple hundred more dollars.

So you just need a USDM ecu, a new cat, and the smog stuff off of the equivalent USDM Prelude chassis? That is what it sounds like... I think you can take care of this somewhat easily.

 

yea, i thought about getting it bar'd but the only thing is that i heard u cant have a older year engine in a newer car. my car is 97 (obd2) but the engine is only a 93 (obd1)..so i jus decided to sell it. my lose is someone elses gain...BUY MY CAR!!
