Default Telling the Dmv

I was gonna buy some el vtec gauges for cheap for my 94 si cause i have an h22 and the gauges i have are the the h23 so the redline is in completely different places. If i did this dont i have to tell the dmv or something like that cause the miles are different? What happens when i do?

You can also take the car + new guage to the stealership and have them change it and document the changes to be legal..

i know on the 92, 93 the faces are interchangable cause i have a 92 S with a JDM H22 and took a 93 VTEC cluster face and put it on my 92 cluster so i kept the mileage.

That's why you find one with close milage. If the number is higher then yours, leave it unplugged for a week till it's about settled out. If it's lower, then shut up!

HAHA well it would be way lower, my car shows 213000 on it now, but that is just the body cause i did an engine swap, and if i do a cluster swap it would match the engin at 50,000 miles. That is quite a difference. I guess ill just do it and leave it be haha.

make sure you keep a record of the original mileage, as if you resell the vehicle, and you claim it has only 50k or so, the buyer will find out when they go to register the vehicle. just do the cluster swap, keep track of the original mileage, and the new mileage, then simply tally it up when you sell the vehicle. then, on the bill of sale, simply state not actual mileage. besides, dishonesty sucks , but there is no reason to tell the dmv.
