first off, that tranny is going to drive you nuts.........

the gearing is crazy, even though you can top out at like 165 mph, it takes forever to get there.......

since the only diff between when the engine is off and when the engine is on is the fact that things are spinning around..... first thing that comes to mind is that something is not ligned up correctly or something is catching..... but since you dont meation a griding, i dont think it is the flywheel or starter......

be sure that there are no air pocket in your clutch master and slave lines, to do that your gonna have to bleed them if you have not already. also how high is the clutch pedal from the floor it may or may not need to be adjusted

the H23 tranny (up for debate, its what i run with my JDM h22 and i love it, I find that i needed to adjust my Vtech engagement point to about 5200 rpms to stay in vtec between shifts but 2nd to 3rd pull like crazy......)

or the H22 tranny are the way to go.....

there are talks about some people trying to put in the Teg Type R tranny but they are mucho dinero....

the main problem with the accord tranny is the gearing, its made for fuel economy, not agressive speed driving....

5200 is stock engagement.

you'd need a H2b adaptor plate to put a bseries tranny on an h22, but even if you had that, you couldnt put it in a prelude without a ALOT of customized parts.

VAFC, after tuning with a diff setup was at 5600....... 1st to 2nd shift was dropping to about 5100-5300 rpm (i wish i didnt get the 8lb flywheel) so i set it to 5200 and everything is ok now.

98vtec, thats not what he is asking......

i think that he wants to know if using an accord tranny will slow him down. The answer is yes. For Track, The H23 tranny seems to be giving me better times than the H22 tranny that i had in before.... sure 3-5 seconds isnt a lot, but its better........

the final drive of an accord tranny is nuts... we toped out at 173 in my buddy 5th gen with one of those in there, but it took an hr to get going that fast

What about the arm connected to the tranny is that moving at full extension which i think is like a 0 - 30 or 35 degree movement or something like that (correct me if i'm wrong), pop the hood and look near slave cylinder while someone is pushing down the clutch to see if it is moving at all. the i only ask because i had the same problem and that was the culprit. if it is bent or anything it will cause that. after that i'm out of idea, i'm pretty must still new to all this myself.. good luck man
