my 93 hatch's front brake calipar is grinding on my rotor. my first guess is a shot wheel bearing....what do you guys think? I haven't driven it in a few weeks but i recall i could turn (i think) right and it would not grind (not sure if that helps any) all other times it would grind/rub.

Ummm... might want to check your pads first... bearings make more of a low pitch groan or whirr at speed and get louder when turning....

That and also make sure that the caliper is tight on the bracket.

 

caliper could be stuck and couldve worn your pad down to the metal....is your brake light on yet?

 

brake pads and rotors are fairly new. it does sound like a groan or whirr not really a grinding sound but it is clear the caliper is touching the rotor.
