In most cases it's as easy as mounting the HU on the bottom, [flip mounting kit upside down] a proper back support, [to the oem rear support bracket is required] nothing more then an "L"bracket from the back of HU to oem rear support bracket.

What is the make and model of "flip-out" you want to install? 94

its a pyle PLTV7R 7 inch motorized monitor. i dont understand what your saying. what i want to do is cut out and block off the airvents on the top and mount the monitor in that location. i know it doesnt sound right, but i have an extra climate control so i just would like to try this out and see how i like it. thanks for the help
oh and it is in a 94 integra

We understand perfectly what you're saying... What FCM is telling you is that you don't need to mount it up in the air vents...

You merely mount the unit in the factory radio location, but flip the mounting kit over and put the monitor in the bottom slot...

oh ok sorry. i know that that way will work but i would like to do it in the air vents just for the hell of it. i have already cut my vents out and it will slide right through with a pretty clean look. my problem is that i have yet to come up with a good way to make this deck secure. here is a link to show what someone else did the same way i want to do it. his post doesnt say how he installed it, and i cant pm him when the info is archived i guess? im not sure but thank you for the fast replies
