Default Very quick question about oil

What kinda oil does everyone use?

More specifically, I want to change the oil my self on my F4i but dont know which one to use?

Can I use full synthetic Mobil 1 5w-30 oil?

Id rather not have to go to a dealer for my oil like my friends used to.

Thanks

buy it on the net.

i use GN4 for my bike, i'm also wondering if car syn will be ok for the bike's tranny.

go to the dealer/net for filters anyway, might as well buy en masse.

fvck

we just had an oil thread like a week ago....

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1710912

Yamalube 20W/40 with K/N filters every 2000 miles (down from 2500)
Yamalube 10W/30 for wintertime operations

For the Elite I use Hondalube GN4 20W/40 with no filter (it doesn't have one)

I use the MX4T 10W-40 in my bike with great success. I have 36k on my 1988 VT1100c and it runs as good as it did when new. Uses no oil.

DO NOT use car synthetic oil. The friction modifiers in standard automobile synthetic oils will damage a modern sport bike's wet clutch.

Repsol 5w-40 semi-synthetic in my F4.

Got any tech to back that up?

Synthetic oils have changed a lot in recent years and a lot of the old myths arent true anymore...

I only use semi synth myself... We change our oil so often now days this argument is almost moot.
