Default stock throttle body?

OK first off dont laugh. alright I have a 2000 civic dx, i know a bit about cars but I'm wondering something about my throttle body. every picture i see under the hood of every civic i see a throttle body that faces horizontally easy for any intake upgrades... well im the second owner of my honda and my throttle body opening faces vertically. is there an inexpensive way to change this? or should i leave it as is?

Leave it as is, or swap to a b or up series

but if you really want to you would need to change the intake manifold if you wanted to do that

you could leave it like it is or you could upgrade to a d16y8 intake manifold
