Building a all motor set up for a EG HB... which would you think would work better with a big cam to try and make some power.

Gonna use a H23 bottom end with H23 rods...

I would like to see 13:1+ CR...

Mahles are about $450 and I see Nippon Type S for $200 on fleabay.

 

I searched and came across this...

H23VTEC with Type S pistons will run 12.56:1 compression

Does this seem right??? The thread was 5 pages of crap with a lock at the end???

Is anyone running a H23 Vtec with either of these pistons???

 

I believe the Mahle's are 11.5:1 or maybe slightly higher. Should get you your 13:1

 

the mahle are 11.5 to 1 for the drop in gold series part number is h22220425d10
