Well he manual says to stick a screw driver in the flywheel, remover the cover next to the oil pan and stick it into the teeth of the flywheel, I don't like that idea ersonally...usually an impact gun turned up can zip it off without holding it...other ways depending on the crank pulley, I know 94+ tegs have a nu shaped cent and there is a tool you can use but the older ones just have holes around the outside, bolt a metal bar to it and when the bar hits the frame it will stop it from spining...plain and simple if you don't have an impact gun its not fun

dude, put a couple head bolts in the holes of the pulley and stick a jack pole in between and let it hit the axle as a wedge. Is hard to explain but it works. trust me i just had this issue with the crank pulley.

I used a air gun on one before, worked fine.

Then I made a key to lock the crank, and just used two people. I made a hex shaped piece that was hollow with a rod comming off of it, and the socket fit in the middle of it on the crank nut.

The last time I did it I just used a good old 1/2 socket wrench and just hit it a few times with a hammer. It broke it loose pretty easy, but I think I got lucky.

i believe there is also a special tool that can be used for this purpose if you dont have an air gun.
