That or chalk or flywheel With a large flathead screwdriver if those tools aren't available to you. No my first choice but it works

easy: crank pulley holder and a 3/4'' 3ft breaker bar made short work of mine with this combo.

I know O'reilly Auto Parts rents out the crankshaft pulley holder tool. Definitely a must if you do not have access to air tools.

its about 25$ for the holder, 60$ for huge *** breaker bar all in just over 80$ a lot cheaper then a shop would charge and you learn from the experience of it.

Took two 2x2" boards against crank/block on #1 and #4 journals with a 6 foot cheater to get mine to break.

Trying to hold flywheel teeth is a good way to bust some knuckles first class - but it can work.

Oh and it is CCW - lefty loosey.

I usually use a torch for those stubborn crank bolts. Just don't forget to replace the crank seal after that.

$60 for a breaker bar? You can get a Craftsman 1/2" breaker for like, $12, then slap as much lead pipe from your local hardware store as you can afford on the end of it. I have a 6 foot breaker bar for emergencies, sucker only cost me like, $20.
