Default Power Steering

Was the second generation CRX offered w/ power steering? If so, what years and models had it available? I know this may seem like a stupid question, but I've tried researching on the net and couldn't find an answer.

I have never seen a 2g rex with power steering. However, I have seen an automatic hatchback with power steering.

Is it easy to convert to power steering? If I were to swap a B16A1 into a second gen, can I convert to PS.

You will need the rack, a pump from a b16, the lines and oil resovoir....I have a pump if you need it since my swap came with one. I don't know how it works though. I don't have powersteering and it is not that much harder to turn than it was before the swap. In fact it might be the same amount of effort.

I didn't ask for any opinions. If you're gonna post, at least give some pertinent info. BTW, I shave my nuts for porno films!

The EF8 (CRX SiR) has B16A and power steering, I don't know if power steering is optional though. I always thought power steering was unnecessary until I drove a TVR with power steering. but it adds weight.

The european 2nd gen CRX (ED9 and EE8) didn't have powersteering.

A friend of me put the power steering of a EDM Civic EG6 (B16A2) in his EDM CRX EE8 (B16A1), but the feeling for the road isn't the same like without power steering.

It adds weight and the pump takes power

NO she cold still be a *****, because she can't turn the wheel. its just too hard. i don't see why people like power steering to be honest. you don't feel the road as well and your always like turning the wheels to correct the car, i don't know just seems weird. i'm not flamming in fact i am asking why you do want it

I feel the same way. Power steering just doesn't feel as good as non-power. Without power steering its like the tires are "talking" to you through the steering wheel.
For the work it would require to add it, it just doesn't seem worth it. About the only time you even need it is for slow speed turning such as parking.
My friend is even considering removing the power steering from his ITR to get better steering feel.

I had a first gen CRX w/out power steering and I liked the way it handled and felt while driving. The only drawback was parking/slow turns and shifting at the same time. My 94 Accord has power steering and I find that on the highway I am constantly moving the wheel in order to travel straight. It is more convenient for driving around town, but f*** convenience. When I build my second gen I'll go w/out PS. I was just curious and more than anything else frustrated because I couldn't find an answer to my question. Thanx for the feedback.

usless unless parking
makes your engine compartment look ugly

With as little as crxs are you dont need PS. It just cuts away at horse for a little more convience(not a good speller). My rex handles about the same as my friends brand new teg GS-R. get power windows or something.
