i just scheduled a valve adj. at the dealer ( 250$ ) and was wondering, since my car is a 94 , valve cover , spark plugs , anything else??

what do you think the total damage would be?? with all gaskets up there being replaced??

 

if you are doing this at the dealership, your lookin at a pretty hefty bill. think about how much these parts would be at a parts store, add about $30 to each part, then figure $60/hr for labor (and thats cheap labor pricing). then you can figure out how much you would pay. best bet would be to do it yourself or find someone who can! good luck.

 

well i only said it b-cuz when he takes the valve cover off a 94 ls he not going to wanna use that old gasket(s) ........would you ?

i think the OEM head gasket is somewhere around 20 bucks. I have done it 3 years ago so i am not entriely sure.

 

Cost me $50cdn for the valve cover gasket and spark plug seals at my local dealership.

 

yea were not going down that far .....just a valve job......so like the little spark plug gaskets and the valve cover gasket

there will be no draining of any coolant ....
