what to build f22 or f23
I have a del sol with an f23. The motor just blew and I found an f22 in a 93 ex. I am trying to find out if you have to sleeve the f22 to forge it. I have a turbo kit ready and the only other plan I have at the moment is to take out the ballencer shaft. I guess the other question would be has any one ever took out there balancer shafts. Any other info on the f22 would help.

no you do not.
no you do not.
OMGGGG go with the F22 definitely...get H22 pistons, an H23 intake manifold, a Delta 272 cam, a DC Sports header w/a 2.5" collector and exhaust...tune it...H22 power, K24 torque, probably a low 14 or high 13 sec. pull in your car.

he/she is running a turbo, where exactly do you want the useless dc header?
why go with oem part tho? h22 will not be strong if you are boosting the damn thing, just go aftermarket once and for all.

What's up with that cam? How good is it? What kind of power and numbers can it give?
Thanks for any answers!

luder2_...just get stock bore 8:1 H22 pistons...you don't have to resleeve for them, just a good hone.
gianinline...I will find out either this or next weekend
I've heard nothing but good things other than a shitty idle and worse gas mileage.

8:1? lord that's pretty low. I thought my 8.5:1 was low!
with H22 pistons what rods are you planning to use? why not just buy low C/R pistons designed for the F already?

No you can run Mahle pistons and you will be fine, and I would only sleeve an h series if the walls were scored.
