How to safely loosen the Tensioner bolt?
I'll be changing the timing belt/water pump with a friend of mine, and it seems that stripping the tensioner bolt is a reoccuring problem with Hondas. He's changed out timing belts before, but I just feel the need to err on the side of caution
Should i buy a 14 mm flare nut wrench? It seems that even with 6pt sockets some folks still manage to strip the bolts.

Same here, I think a 6 pt socket would be better than a flare wrench as you distribute the torque on 6 sides. Just be sure to use the correct size socket..durrrr.

I've never seen anyone stripping one, except for my old Mexican neighbors who tried remove it with vice grips
