I've seen this mod done on EKs and I think it looks swt!!!

the door looks all clean without the key hole...

So I thought why not do it on an eg...

so when i went to try and do the mod today... the bolt holes don't exactly line up...

one bolt hole lines up; but the second one doesn't...

what would be the best way to fab up a bracket to relocate the bolt hole???

I don't know how to weld, and I don't know anybody who does, or who can machine me a bracket..

is there some company or someone who can fab up this bracket???

I was thinking of goin to homedepot and just bending some off the shelf brackets to fit...

but I don't know how strong that would be...

any suggestions...
