Default Part it out, Fix it, or new motor?

Some of you know I overheated my motor and now it wont crank. It turns over fine but It wont crank and smells burnt. Well I broke it down today, here are some pics. I have no eartly idea what is wrong with it. My options are try to fix it but I don't know whats wrong, part it out on ebay, or buy new motor for around $500 install it and sell it for $1600-1700. I will also have to fix my cooling problem which shouldn't take more than about $50 max. I have roughly $1100 in the bike and all I care is to get that back out of it. I just had the fairings repaired and painted, new tire, and a dented up muzzy pipe along with about $70 in random other parts laying around. I need the $1100 by sep 16 as I am getting married and getting rid of the toys. Any advice?

Btw its an 01 ninja 250 and the pics are huge for detail.

you're gonna have to resizzle, buddy.

(resize these suckers) I think you can get enough detail at i dunno, 800x600 give or take. They aren't the best quality either

Yeah, you'd have to file or slightly chizzle to get one of those to fit in correctly.

b16 swap ftw.

If you could sell it for ~800, I'd just do that; less hassle.

Well if you want to keep it finding another motor wont be a problem with that bike, but even if you do sell it putting another engine/rebuilding will help exponentially.

Who would buy a ninja 250 with a blown motor? For the price you want they could get one running.

Buy a used motor for it. They've made the Ninja 250 since 1988.... thats 20 years in 2007. You should be able to find a used engine from a wrecked one fairly easily. I even see used engines for my bike on Ebay every once in awhile, and it was sold in the U.S. for only 1 year before being replaced by the first generation R1.
