i tring to get the lower ball joints out on my 92 DA. when i get it coming out the ball joint hits this ring

how does this come out?

 

go to autozone and rent a ball joint puller -

 

why do i need that? the ball joint is loose but hitting that ring. no problems moving the ball joint till that point.

 

that is what ive always done it only takes a few minutes with the puller . and when you take it back you get your money back - so basically its free to rent and makes things alot easier .

 

looking at the pictures your ball joint is already out. when I did my ball joint on my prelude and integra, I used a flat head screw driver and slowly try to pry it out or use a rubber malet and just give it a couple of taps and that ring should just fall out. just be clever it'll come out its not stuck in there trust me.

thanks man did you reuse those rings?

 

u need to PRY THE AXLE PLATESEAL with a FLATHEAD
then it comes out(balljoint

didnt notice someone said it already ops
and reuse it after just mallet it back in

 

Just do NOT bend it. I had one crack after bending it back . Make awful noise

 

dude you could always use a benchpress
