Stronger timing belt required for 400hp drag H22 CRX?
I am currently building up my h22 engine and am looking at the possibility of a power enterprises or simular aftermarket timing belt? From people that have been in the game a while would u say they are worthwhile?
I am currently using a stock honda belt. As in the title my goal is just a little under 400hp
Thanks

I wouldn't ever worry about the stock belt if you get the tension correct. People don't break belts because the belts are weak, they break them because they don't know WTF they are doing.
If your really looking for a stronger one then a Greddy belt would do but like stated before the stock one is perfectly fine with that hp. Just know what your doing when putting it on.

if your looking for something stronger then greddy is good and also Toda makes a nice belt...i currentlyrun Toda and havent had problems but OEM should be fine with that power....i like to run my belts a little tight so i dont want the oem one to stretch so i went with a Toda

im not sure actually

Other people, as well as us do 700whp+ on OE timing belts all the time, so I think you'll be fine... That is unless you want something "pretty" (which in reality actually looks gay)!

I've ran OEM timing belts on all of my turbo set-ups. I was running an OEM h23 belt on my old set-up that put out a little over 500whp.
I plan on running an OEM belt on my new set-up which should hit around the 700 marker.

Valve-train does. I guess in the turbo world people like to address this by power.

If your using a serious valve spring with a lot of seat pressre along with a high lift cam I would probably recommend an aftermarket one. On a side note, Gates is getting into the aftermarket game. I don't know how the prices look, but here's a link to their page.

ETDRacing.com recently designed some timing belt tensioners for Vibrant Performance. They were built due to some experiences with high spring pressure and high compression engines skipping a tooth when the motor was shut down.
I know ETDRacing.com has the B and H in stock currently.

This is the B series version, but i know he has an H version also. Sould help you if your worried.

part number:T247RB for GSR
part number:T184RB for LS
apparently, the H22 gets the shaft yet again
these are supposedly 300 times stronger than stock

so he should be asking about spring pressures instead.</TD></TR></TABLE>
yea the old school skunk2 valve springs would cause my timing belts to snap.
since then i've been anti-skunk2. oh well they are into the all motor scene anyways.
